• Post a note on your MySpace, FaceBook, LinkedIn and other social and professional networking pages – anywhere you have a profile – letting people know you are riding and looking for donations.

• Sell some books you’ll never read again on Amazon.

• Clean out a closet and sell a couple of things you never use on Craig’s List, or have a yard sale.

• Put a donation box on your desk and get co-workers to match their “latte” money for a week or two.

• Ask your local bike shop to sponsor you and put a donation box out at the shop.
